Nominations are now open for His Majesty King Charles III Coronation Medal. The Coronation Medal commemorates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of Canada and recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada.
As the Member of Parliament for Don Valley East, I am pleased to participate as a nominating partner with 20 medals allocated to deserving recipients in our community.
Eligible candidates must meet the following national criteria:
  • Have made significant contributions to the country, a province, territory, region or community, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada, and,
  • Was alive on May 6, 2023, the date of His Majesty’s Coronation. The award can be made posthumously, as long as the nominee was alive on that date.
In addition, eligible candidates must have not been convicted of a criminal offence nor have they been subject to an official sanction by an adjudicating body, professional association or other organization, or conducted themselves in a manner that constitutes a significant departure from generally recognized standards of public behaviour that may undermine the credibility, integrity or relevance of the Canadian Honours System, or detract from the intent of the award.
Community members are invited to nominate outstanding individuals who made a difference in the community for the King Charles III Coronation Medals. Consideration consideration will be given to those who live in, or work in Don Valley East.
